Our Story

Pivot Innovation began with a simple goal: to bring people together to share ideas, learn new skills, and turn imagination into reality.
From our base in Frankton, Queenstown, we work with makers, businesses, and educators across the region to turn ideas into real products and experiences. Whether it’s prototyping, manufacturing, content creation, or training, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do.
At The Workshop, you’ll find room to create, tools to build, and a community ready to support you.
Our Online Learn Lab platform is coming soon to extend the spirit of collaboration even further.
Because when we create together, we grow together – and when we grow together our community becomes stronger.

Meet the Team

Amos Breyfogle

With a career spanning continents and industries, Amos has helped transform how people make things. Originally from the USA, he’s brought advanced manufacturing and industrial 3-D printing techniques to teams around the world – from aerospace and defense in North America to Formula 1 in Europe and toy design in Japan.
Along the way, he’s collaborated with leading innovators including Airbus, General Electric, McLaren, Ferrari, and Audi. Now at Pivot Innovation, Amos channels that global experience into helping others take their ideas from concept to creation using the latest in manufacturing technology.

Ryan Churchman

With over a decade of experience in hospitality operations, Ryan knows how to make things run smoothly. Every event hosted at The Workshop is a reflection of his skill and passion.
Alongside managing The Workshop, Ryan runs Solidify, a 3-D printing business that helps people turn their ideas into reality with cutting-edge technology. A natural tinkerer and born problem solver, he’s always willing to lend a helping hand with any project that comes through the door.

Jeremy Platt

With a background in biology and science communication, Jeremy combines technical knowledge with a love of exploration. His passion for long-distance adventures inspired him to design outdoor products that make every journey faster and more enjoyable.
Over the past thirteen years, Jeremy has honed his skills across a range of CAD platforms, using 3-D printing to create molds and tools for complex carbon fibre fabrications. He’s also kept his passion for education alive, now leading our Teacher Professional Development Workshops where he helps others turn their curiosity into creativity.
